Jonathan Pollard to be released Nov 20th
It has been officially reported that Jonathon Pollard will be released on parole November 20th this year. Channel 2 news spoke with Pollard's ex-wife, Anne who was clearly excited about his release.
“I would like to thank the many thousands of well-wishers in the United States, in Israel, and throughout the world,” Israeli agent Jonathan Pollard stated this evening (Tuesday) through his attorneys following the announcement on his upcoming release on November 20th after 30 years of incarceration in the US.
In the announcement published on behalf of Pollard he thanked the many people “who provided grass roots support by attending rallies, sending letters, making phone calls to elected officials, and saying prayers for my welfare,” adding that he was “deeply appreciative of every gesture, large or small.”
Pollard’s attorneys added that they expect to see him outside the prison walls in less than four months. With regards to his family, the attorneys stated on behalf of Pollard that he was “looking forward to being reunited with his beloved wife Esther.”
US Secretary of State John Kerry confirmed the report of Pollard’s release this evening.
Meanwhile, Israeli Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked announced earlier this evening that a decision was reached by the US Parole Commission to release the incarcerated Israeli agent Jonathan Pollard on Friday the 20th of November 2015. Pollard was supposed to be released on the 21st of November following a 30-year incarceration, but the date was moved back a day in order that his release take place before the Sabbath.
Pollard’s legal team in the US stated that the Israeli agent would be released under restricting conditions and would most probably be forced to remain in the US during the coming five years. However, US President Barack Obama has the ability to allow Pollard to come to Israel at a sooner date.
“I don't know the conditions. I just heard about it,” the Israeli agent’s former wife Anne Pollard told Channel 2 News. “I don't know what the release conditions will be. I just pray that they will put him on the plane. I hope that this announcement is correct. I haven't heard it from official sources,” she stated.

REMEMBERING TISHA B'AV
TISHA B'AV, THE SADDEST DAY IN THE JEWISH CALENDAR, IS HELD TODAY to commemorate the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem.
The national day of Jewish mourning has become associated with remembrance of other major calamities which have befallen the Jewish people in more recent history also, including the Holocaust.
As the Book of Lamentations is read in synagogues and prayers are offered, it is with great sadness that we see the Palestinian Authority issuing provoking statements about the mere presence of Jewish people in the Temple Mount.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that "This evening we commemorate the fast of Tisha B'Av, in which the Jewish people remembers the tragedy that befell us when the Temple was destroyed, Jerusalem was destroyed, and the land of Israel was destroyed. What was destroyed due to baseless hatred, will be built from pure love - from unity and cohesion in the face of the great challenges that stand before our people".
"On this evening of remembrance we welcome our return to Jerusalem, our capital, after two thousand years of longing. We will continue to build it, defend it, and ensure its prosperity. United Jerusalem will remain under the authority of Israel forever", Prime Minister Netanyahu added.

Christian Saviors of Jews Honored
The Chief Rabbi of Poland honored 50 elderly Christians who saved Jews from the Nazis during World War II. Calling them “heroes” at the event held in what was the infamous Warsaw Ghetto, the Rabbi expressed “our deepest gratitude to these Righteous Gentiles.”
One of the oldest Christian ladies who had saved Jews from the Nazis was 100-years-old. Others present were already in their 80s and 90s. The event was organized by the Jewish Foundation for the Righteous (JFR), a Jewish group currently providing monthly financial assistance to more than 500 aged and needy Christians who have saved Jews from the Holocaust.
"You are our heroes," said Stanlee Stahl the JFR executive vice president standing before the elderly group who had saved many Jews from certain death. "It is so important to acknowledge the courage and heroism of the righteous, for each of you saved the honor of humanity," she told attentive crowd.
Under Nazi occupation non-Jews and their families caught helping Jews were punished with death. Poland which was once home to Europe's largest Jewish population, about 3.3 million before the war, also has the largest number of non-Jews recognized as "Righteous Among the Nations" by Yad Vashem Israel's Holocaust memorial. "You will always be remembered in our prayers for you made it possible for generations to be born and to live," Stahl said.

Leading Israeli Rabbi Says the Arrival of the Messiah is Imminent
Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, a leading authority in mainstream Ultra-Orthodox Judaism, has been giving clear and unequivocal messages recently that the coming of the Messiah is imminent. He is urging Jews to make Aliyah as soon as possible. Aliyah, the Hebrew verb for “going up”, refers to immigrating to Israel, which is seen as higher spiritual action that can help herald in the coming of the Messiah.
It was reported that the Rabbi Kanievsky was presented with a pamphlet, written by Rabbi Yitzchak Ben Tzvi from the city of Bnei Brak, dealing with the End of Days and many other related prophecies. Rabbi Kanievsky, who is a pillar of the Jewish community and known for his authoritative books on Torah law, read the pamphlet carefully. After a short consideration, he told those around him that the pamphlet needed to be distributed and that Jews living outside Israel should return to their ancestral land.In yet another instance of Rabbi Kanievsky’s call for aliyah, author Rabbi Yekutiel Fisch revealed advice that was given to his cousin, a teacher at a prominent Lakewood Yeshiva who visited Israel recently and went to Rabbi Kanievsky to receive a blessing at the end of his visit.
The Rabbi told him that he should not leave Israel because the Messiah would be arriving very soon. The teacher responded that he had 700 students waiting for him in Lakewood. Rabbi Kanievsky told him that he must bring all of the students to Israel. Upon his arrival in Lakewood, the story spread quickly, creating quite an impression on the students who all revere Rabbi Kanievsky.
After a lifetime of immersing himself in classical Jewish texts, Rabbi Kanievsky’s study partner informed various media sites that the Rabbi is talking about the messiah “all the time.” Since last summer’s war in Gaza, the Rabbi has been spreading this message of imminent return. In one instance, Rabbi Kanievsky instructed a Jew from Argentina who asked for a blessing that he should “gather your family and come to Israel. Otherwise, there won’t be enough room for you on the airplanes.”
When asked about the timing of the Messiah’s arrival, Rabbi Kanievsky answered, “At the end of the Sabbatical year.” Several people have asked the Rabbi to verify this and he has given the same answer each time. This year is the Sabbatical year and it will be ending on the 29th day of Elul, which, by the Gregorian calendar falls on Saturday, September 12, 2015.
In answer to Rabbi Kanievsky’s call, the Jews of France have begun to arrive in Israel in blessed droves. The impetus is certainly a reaction to increasing anti-Semitic and Islamic fueled violence across Europe.

3,000 Palestinians Killed in Syria, No ICC Investigation
Also BDS is Silent!
So called 'palestinians' waiting for aid in Yarmouk, Damascus
Palestinian Authority officials are quick to accuse Israel of deliberately “targeting innocent Arabs” when IDF soldiers fire at rock-throwers and others who engage in acts of terror against Israelis, but they have yet to comment on the nearly 3,000 Palestinians killed in Syria in recent years.
To be precise, at least 2,910 residents of Syria identifying as Palestinians have been killed since March 2011 through July 12, 2015 – the day a report on the matter was released by the “Action Committee for Palestinians in Syria” on the matter. Most of those deaths have been extremely violent, the report said – with hundreds killed each month in bombings, firefights, torture in prison, starvation, mass executions, and drownings as they try to escape to Europe.
The number - like other casualty figures from the Syrian civil war - only includes those Palestinians whose deaths have been definitively confirmed, and does not include those missing or otherwise unaccounted for - meaning the toll is likely higher still.
Information about the prison torture – in which, the report said, nearly 80 Palestinians have been killed – was smuggled out by a freed Syrian prisoner, who sneaked photos and videos of the torture out of prison. At least 46 Palestinians have been beheaded by ISIS, which took over a neighborhood of Allepo where many of them live.
The victims were killed not because of any actions violating Islam, the usual motivation for an ISIS beheading, but as a “message” to Hamas, expressing the group's disappointment that the Gaza terror group has not implemented Koranic (shari'a) law in Gaza. ISIS recently issued a video threat that it would invade Gaza and destroy Hamas for this failure.
The PA has never commented on these atrocities; the only statements it has made on Syria is to call for international negotiators to attempt to bring calm between the warring parties.
There has been no attempt to bring charges against the government of Syria, ISIS, or any of the Syrian rebel groups in the International Criminal Court, as the PA has been doing against Israel. Israeli officials said that it was "unlikely" that this will ever happen.

Free Gaza ?!
We often hear people say that they want to "free Gaza", but we are wondering if they ever took the time to educate themselves about the facts.
Are they aware, for example, that they are supporting a Taliban-style Islamic entity that denies basic human rights to its citizens? Are they aware that the Palestinian Territories ranked as the 26th country in the world where Christians face the most persecution?
Are they aware that Hamas campaigned for polygamy and Sharia Law? Are they aware that even female TV Presenters are receiving death threats for not wearing a head covering? Or are they aware that female university students, including Christians, are forced by law to wear a veil?
We do not understand the logic of the world condemning Taliban for imposing these laws, but turning a blind eye to the same practices carried out within the Palestinian Territories.
Where is the outcry for the gross human rights violations? Why the double standards? Instead of international pressure for their undemocratic ways, we see the world encouraging them by portraying them as victims and sending them more money. But, if someone takes the time to look at the facts, he will see that this money is used to fund a new Taliban.

Second Temple-era catacomb Beit She'arim declared UNESCO World Heritage site
Second Temple-era catacombs for Jewish leaders, carved out of the soft bedrock at Beit She'arim. (Photo by Moshe Gilad)
The incomparable ancient catacombs at the Second Temple-era town of Beit She’arim joined the UNESCO World Heritage List on Sunday.
Beit She’arim was once the headquarters of the Sanhedrin, a city covering some 100 dunams (25 acres) that flourished from the second to the fourth century CE. The decision to mark the spot was made at the 39th session of the organization’s World Heritage Committee, convening in Bonn, Germany.
The most famous resident of Beit She'arim was Rabbi Judah the Prince, who lived in the 3rd century CE and – fearing that the Jews' crushing defeat by the Roman Empire and subsequent exile would lead to the loss of Torah – redacted the Mishnah.
It was Judah the Prince's death and interment in the city that caused the town to become a magnet-cemetery, as it were. Inscriptions discovered in excavations, starting in the 1930s, reveal that Jewish community leaders were brought for burial from as far away as what are now Arabia, Turkey, Iraq and Syria.
The ancients dug their cave-tombs into soft limestone rock walls by the town, resulting in a total of some 30 catacombs with more than 200 stone coffins.
Other major finds discovered in excavations at Beit She'arim, which is south of Haifa in the hills of the lower Galilee, include an ancient synagogue; a basilica (a type of Roman public building, not a church); an olive press - and the necropolis, which features three different burial sections, each in a different architectural style.
The latter is one of the largest Jewish cemeteries to have survived since antiquity, and Jews from both Israel and abroad have long sought to be buried there, near the grave of Rabbi Judah.
Dr. Tsvika Tsuk, the Nature and Parks Authority’s chief archaeologist, termed the decision “a greeting from 1,800 years ago from Beit She’arim’s city of the dead.” He said the site’s archaeological findings include hundreds of inscriptions along with dozens of reliefs of seven-branched menorahs and other Jewish ritual objects.

Yehudah Glick Travels to Turkey to Meet With Prominent Muslim Religious Leaders
Our comment: It's sad that Yehuda Glick has the idle hope to pray together to the 'One' 'true' God with the muslims idol-worshippers on G_d's Holy (Hill)Mount Zion. That's the sad blindness of many religious Jewish people. We declare hereby the Truth, that Allah is NOT the (same) Hashem, G_d of Israel (from the Bible).
Christian persecution in the 'Palestinian' controlled areas
What you don't read in the mainstream news!
(Photo taken by an employee of the monastery during the incident)
THE INTIMIDATION OF CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES WITHIN THE PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY CONTINUES ON A DAILY BASIS.
The international media have been keeping quiet about the persecution of Christians within the Palestinian areas, but we want to bring to the world's attention a very disturbing incident that took place at the Mar Sabba monastery near Bethlehem yesterday.
The Greek Orthodox convent is located in Beith Sakhour, a town near Bethlehem, which used to be predominately Christian. For the last two years, the land that belongs to the monastery has been intruded by illegal construction and the Palestinian Authority has done nothing to stop them, despite numerous complaints by the Abbot.
Unfortunately, it is a common practice for many Christians to have their land taken away from them within the Palestinian areas. However, yesterday, the incitement reached a new level, when a group of seven Muslim Salafi men broke into the convent and began threatening and harassing the monks. This is the first time that we witness this level of bullying and audacity within a property belonging to the Orthodox Church itself.
The continuous persecution has now driven the majority of the Christian population out of the area. We are drawing attention to this, because the men who carried out the attack have promised to come back and the recurring question is how long will the Christians, who the majority of them call themselves Palestinians, live in such fear and who will protect them?

Portugal authorizes 250 citizenship applications to descendants of exiled Jews
250 applicants, most of them from Turkey, have already received official certification that they qualify for Portuguese citizenship under a new law which grants citizenship to descendants of Jews who were forced into exile in the 16th century, Israeli daily Haaretz reported.
Applicants have to provide proof of connection to the Sephardic Portuguese community, and applications are vetted by the Jewish communities in Lisbon and Porto.
The law took effect in March, and a similar law will take effect in October in Spain.
The candidates, unlike others applying for Portuguese citizenship are not required to relocate to the country, and their application is expedited as well, being notified between six to 12 months as opposed to six-seven years.
A spokesman for the Porto Jewish community said 900 people had already applied for citizenship, out of which 250 applicants already received positive responses, while Jose Carp, president of the Lisbon Jewish community said he received an additional 500 inquiries on the issue.
However, Carp said that the people who have made inquiries "have absolutely not been thinking about relocation" and that for them, the citizenship is rather a tangible proof of an emotional connection to Portugal.

Jewish global population approaches pre-Holocaust levels
The number of Jews and people who identify as partially Jewish has been measured at 16.5 million, same figure as before second world war
The world’s Jewish population has grown to be nearly as large as it was before the Holocaust, an Israeli thinktank said in its annual report.
The Jewish People Policy Institute said there are currently 14.2 million Jews in the world. When factoring in individuals with one Jewish parent and others who identify as partially Jewish, the figure approaches 16.5 million — the Jewish population on the eve of the second world war. The Nazis and their collaborators killed about 6 million Jews in the Holocaust.
The report said the rise has been due in part to natural growth, mainly in Israel, which has about 6.1 million Jews and one of the western world’s highest fertility rates.
But it also linked the growth to “changing patterns of Jewish identification”. It said that 59% of adult children in the US who have just one Jewish parent now identify as Jewish, a majority “for the first time in memory”.
Avinoam Bar-Yosef, the institute’s president, said more of those Jews were probably identifying as Jewish because it is more “respectable” to be Jewish in the US than it was years ago. He also said Birthright Israel, which organises educational trips to Israel for young Jewish people, is also having an impact.
The tally combines the number of Jews worldwide, but it also includes at least one million secular Jews who are less likely to be connected to Jewish life or institutions. And it includes some 350,000 Israelis who emigrated from the former Soviet Union and are not considered Jewish in Israel. The Pew Research Center, whose count only includes Jews who self-identify as Jewish, projects that numbers will reach 16 million by 2050.
The US has the world’s second-largest Jewish population, at 5.7 million. France is a distant third with about 475,000 Jews, followed by Canada.
The report, which was presented to the Israeli cabinet on Sunday, dubs itself an “annual stocktaking of the Jewish world”.

Israel goes on the alert on her Sinai border
To Isis we say/ask: "Who are you Isis-devils that you challenge the army (IDF) of the living God of Israel?” - 1 Samuel 17:26
The Islamic State (ISIS) organization launched an offensive against Egyptian security forces on Wednesday killing dozens.
The fighting which is now in the third day is the largest battles that have taken place in the Sinai peninsula since the 1973 Yom Kippur war. The IS caught the Egyptian forces in north-western Sinai off guard with their surprise attack carrying out a well coordinated simultaneous attack on 15 posts and centers of the Egyptian security forces in northern Sinai.
In addition the, IS used sophisticated and modern weapons in their attacks. It was previously unknown that the IS fighters had the types of weapons at their disposal. Egypt quickly received clearance from Israel to move additional weapons, including tanks armored personnel carriers, Apache helicopters and F-16 fighter jets, into the Sinai.
The battles taking place between the Egyptian army and the ISIS fighters could also develop into rocket and mortar fire towards Israel, and the Central Command is preparing for that too. In the meantime, it seems that the IS fighters are busy battling the Egyptian army, which is attacking them from the air and from the ground, but the heightened state of alert on the Israeli side will likely continue for a few more days, as experience shows that ISIS will try to create provocations on the border with Israel in a bid to cause a friction between the IDF and the Egyptian army and affect the relationship between Egypt and Israel.
By Thursday night, Egypt had reported that they had killed 123 IS fighters in their retaliation.
In the initial attacks, the IS gained control of tanks and armored vehicles which quickly had Israel raising the level of readiness on the Sinai border fearing that these vehicles could be used in attacks on Israel herself. Highway 12, which runs mostly along the Egyptian border, has been closed to civilian traffic until further notice.
The IDF quickly shut off all Sinai crossings and alerted all the communities along the border with Egypt, especially in its northwestern part to stay alert. The IDF has also reinforced the presence of armored vehicles on the ground and unmanned aircraft monitoring events near the border. The IDF has increased helicopter and fighter jet patrols along the border.
