Israel-Centrum net ontsnapt aan brand

Het Israelcentrum, waar Isreality, IPC en Christenen voor Israel gevestigd zijn, is tenauwernood “ontsnapt” aan een grote brand. 

Gisterenavond was er een grote brand bij onze buurman Sell. Een bedrijf dat plastic giet in mallen. De vlammen kwamen tot vlakbij ons pand. Alle inzet van de brandweer was om de omliggende panden te redden.

De vlammen kwamen tot een paar meter van ons pand. Het was kantje boord volgens de commandant en bijzonder dat het Israel Centrum niet in vlammen is opgegaan. We hebben zelfs geen rook of waterschade! De Heere heeft ons echt bewaard.

We zijn God enorm dankbaar en hebben vanochtend met de aanwezige medewerkers een dankbijeenkomst gehouden. Er zijn geen slachtoffers.

Emmy Andriesse - Foto's van joods Amsterdam, oorlog en bevrijding

Het Joods Historisch Museum presenteert van 27 april t/m 30 september 2012 een expositie met werk van Emmy Andriesse, een van de belangrijkste Nederlandse fotografen van de vorige eeuw. Bezoekers krijgen foto's te zien van het joodse leven, de oorlog en de bevrijding in Amsterdam, de stad waar de fotografe het grootste deel van haar werkzame leven woonde.

Haar grootste bekendheid dankte Andriesse na de oorlog aan haar foto's van de Hongerwinter van 1944-1945 in Amsterdam. Deze periode heeft zij vastgelegd in indringende beelden. Veel van deze foto's gelden als iconen van de collectieve herinnering aan de Duitse bezetting.

Als joodse en geëmancipeerde vrouw stond Andriesse ver af van het traditionele joodse leven. Specifiek joodse onderwerpen komen bijna niet voor in haar fotografie. Toch had haar afkomst onmiskenbaar invloed op haar leven en werk. Ze voelde zich aangetrokken tot de markt op het Waterlooplein, met de levendige sfeer van joodse kooplieden en standwerkers. De nooit gepubliceerde reeks foto's die ze hier maakte is op de tentoonstelling voor het eerst te zien. Uit deze tijd dateert ook een kleine serie foto's van de Portugese Synagoge, waarvan zij de sfeervolle zeventiende-eeuwse ambiance goed wist te treffen.

In 1941 moest Emmy Andriesse als gevolg van de Duitse beroepsverboden voor joden haar werk opgeven. Zij dook onder in 1943, maar kon dankzij goede valse papieren eind 1944 weer naar buiten. In het laatste half jaar van de bezetting behoorde zij met Cas Oorthuys tot de meest actieve illegale fotografen van De Ondergedoken Camera. Haar aandacht ging vooral uit naar het menselijk leed op straat, maar ook bij mensen thuis. Na de bevrijding documenteerde Andriesse de feestvreugde. Eveneens maakte ze aangrijpende foto's in de Amsterdamse jodenbuurt van de leeggeplunderde woningen en de desolate ruïnes.

Aardbeving treft Cyprus gevoeld tot in Israël

De regio Cyprus is vrijdagavond door een zware aardbeving getroffen, zo hebben gespecialiseerde instituten gemeld.

De beving deed zich voor om 20.48 uur Belgische tijd. Volgens het Amerikaanse USGS bevond het epicentrum zich op zowat 20 km diepte, 120 km ten zuidoosten van de Cypriotische hoofdstad Nicosia en 65 km ten westnoordwesten van het Israëlische Ramat Gan. Nog volgens dit instituut is de beving ook gevoeld in de Arabische stad Ramallah, de Israëlische havenstad Haifa en de Libanese hoofdstad Beiroet. Het Europese EMSC gewaagt van een diepte van 49 km.

Vandaar dat veel Joden zich laten begraven op de Olijfberg. Bij de komst van de Messias zullen de doden herrijzen.

Six army battalions IDF to Egypt, Syria borders

Six army battalions called up under emergency orders to meet growing threat on Egypt, Syria borders.

May 2, 2012 - An IDF spokesperson said intelligence assessments called for the deployment of more soldiers. An army statement highlighted last August’s infiltration from the Sinai north of Eilat in which eight Israelis were killed, and said the subsequent division of that area into two distinct military zones necessitated additional manpower.

According to 2008′s Reserve Duty Law, combat soldiers can be called for active reserve duty once every three years, and for short training sessions during the other two. Rising tensions between Israel and Egypt and the ongoing unrest in Syria caused the army to ask the Knesset for special permission to call up more soldiers, more often.

The Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee approved the request recently, enabling the IDF to summon up to 22 battalions for active duty for the second time in three years. Already, the army has called up six of them.

“This signifies that the IDF regards the Egyptian and Syrian borders as the potential source of a greater threat than in the past,” the former deputy chief of staff, Dan Harel, said on Wednesday night.

“The army needs a better ‘answer’ than in the past to the threat,” he said, citing Egypt’s deteriorating control over the Sinai, marked by an upsurge in Bedouin smuggling of weapons and other goods. He also spoke of the growing threat of terrorism from Sinai, as exemplified by last August’s infiltration.

The Syrian situation was also highly combustible, Harel said, "and it could explode at any moment… and pose a direct challenge to us."

The Coliseum, where thousands upon thousands of "Judaeis" have been massacred by the Roman emperors, became for one night an arena for alliance between Christians and Jews against “odium fidei,” or religious hatred.

Last Wednesday in Rome, Jewish leaders for the first time rallied alongside Christians in a candlelit vigil to denounce the attacks in the Middle East and Africa. It was “interfaith” or “ecumenical” dialogue at its best. Forget the theological questions, which remain unsolvable. There is an urgent mutual solidarity about the single most defining issue of our time: religious freedom.

It is about the right to life of Jews and Christians in an Islamicized Middle East. Speaking at the Coliseum, Rome’s Chief Rabbi Riccardo Di Segni slammed Western “indifference” surrounding the massacre of minorities in the Middle East.

It is far more then this. On this Dutch/English Blog you can experience and read about the Love we as TRUE Christians (Messianics by our faith in the Jewish MaShiach Yeshua=Jesus) have for Israel (Gods Land), the Jewish people (Gods people) and for Jerusalem (Gods City). But formost for our common heavenly Father, the God of Israel. 

Islam has no bond at all with Jews and Christians, because Islam worship another (idol) god, namely Il-Allah. The quran is inspired by other (dark) spiritual forces. the Quran therefor claims rightly that Jews and Christians are eachother friends (although name-christianity did horrible things to the Jews for centuries, which we reject completely), and that muslims must abstain from friendship and integration with us, because the (false) ´prophet´ muhammed (and il-allah) write/says in the quran that Jews and Christians are not only eachother friends, but also are unjust and il-allah´s enemies. 

In Islamic Jihad, first muslims are obliged to take revenge (kill) the saturday people (the Jews, shabbat-keepers) and after that (kill) the sunday-people (the Christians, who come together mainly on sunday). Therefor Jews and Christians has the same evil religion and enemy against them, namely ISLAM. And we can not do much about it, as long muslims believe, what muhammed and the quran says/writes what they MUST do! 

The only solution is to give muslims/islamists Bibles (Tenach & New Testament) so their thinking, acting and behaviour will change, and they themselves will be changed from a person filled with hate into a person filled with Love!

Echoes of ‘67: Israel Unites

Israelis today face the greatest threat to their existence since May ’67 – nuclear weapons in the hands of apocalyptic mullahs publicly pledged to Israel’s annihilation.

The world is again telling Israelis to do nothing as it looks for a way out. But if such a way is not found – as in ’67 – Israelis know that they will once again have to defend themselves, by themselves. Such a fateful decision demands a national consensus.

By creating the largest coalition in nearly three decades, Netanyahu is establishing the political premise for a preemptive strike, should it come to that. The new government commands an astonishing 94 Knesset seats out of 120.

Netanyahu, the first Likud prime minister to recognize Palestinian statehood (what we as Christian-Zionists oppose), did not need Kadima for him to enter peace talks. For two years he’s been waiting for Mahmoud Abbas to show up at the table. Abbas hasn’t. And won’t. Nothing will change on that front.

Netanyahu forfeited September elections that would have given him four more years in power. He chose instead to form a national coalition that guarantees 18 months of stability — 18 months during which, if the world does not act (whether by diplomacy or otherwise) to stop Iran, Israel will.

And it will not be the work of one man, one party or one ideological faction. As in 1967, it will be the work of a nation.
