'Fire is God (Allah) punishing Israel for occupying Arab lands'

Many in the Arab world seem to be happy with the big fire that has been raging in northern Israel over the past few days. Judging from comments of readers in response to the blaze in several leading Arab media outlets and websites, a majority believe that God is “punishing” Israel for occupying Arab lands and killing Palestinians, especially during Operation cast Lead in the Gaza Strip.

Many Arabs also strongly condemned Egypt and Jordan for agreeing to help in extinguishing the blaze.

Others called on Israel’s enemies, particularly Iran, Hamas and Hizbullah to seize the opportunity and try to wipe Israel off the face of earth. Only a few readers and viewers expressed sympathy with Israel over the tragedy and the loss of many lives.

Following is a sample of the comments that appeared in the past few days in the Arab media:

“May Allah punish all Arabs who helped put down the fire. We pray to Allah that the fire will grow and spread to oil wells in the Arab world.”

“O’ Allah, burn them [Jews] before the Day of Judgement. O’ Allah, destroy them and all the enemies of Islam.”

“May Allah take revenge against them and displace them together with our corrupt [Arab] governments.”

“This is the right time for Iran. If one fire has caused panic in the Zionist entity, where are Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Hassan Nasrallah? And where is Syria? One rocket could set thousands of fires.”

“Allah gives time, but never neglects. The Israelis are being punished for their deeds. We hope their end is nearing.”

“Sounds strange that Arabs are sending aid to our enemies. Allah is punishing the Jews by making with the fire. No military force or US veto can stop the fire.”

“Thank God for this new Holocaust and shame on the Egyptian authorities who rushed to save the Zionists while continuing to lay siege against our brothers in the Gaza Strip.”

“Thank God for burning the Jews the same way they burned our Muslim brothers in Palestine.”

“To Hizbullah, Hamas and all Arabs: this is a golden opportunity to get rid of Israel. The sea and fire are in front of the Jews and weapons are behind them.”

“This fire is the result of prayers from our prisoners held in occupation jails. The fire of Hell will be even stronger. May those Arabs who are helping the Jews burn with them in Hell.”

“Allahu Akbar! This is an effective weapon. We call on our Palestinian brothers to set fire to all forests.”

“How many prisoners did the wardens torture? Allah has answered the prayers of the oppressed.”

These are horrible wrong religious incited accusations of the Islamic enemies of Israël, the Jewish people and of God. First we must see in a realistic and natural way that Israël has a water shortage and very little of no rain has fallen the last months. Also Israël's former frriendly nations (like Turkey) are now acting against them, read f.e. article: Turkey halts all state energy and water projects with Israel



If God wanted to judge Israël with these fires, the so falsly called 'occupation' is absolutely not the reason, but rather the high rate of abortions, the prostitution and woman-sexslavery/trafficking, and for gay-pride manifestions inside Israël. Therefor we must pray for the national spiritual restoration of Israël, because Gods Word (The Bible) promises that "the whole of Israël shall be saved" (and all of their sins shall be forgiven).

Efforts to put out Carmel wildfire continue: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday ordered an immediate transfer of the budget needed to rent the Evergreen Supertanker, a Boeing 747-200 modified into an aerial firefighting aircraft. The plane is expected to land in Israel on Saturday night.

Considered the largest aerial firefighting aircraft in the world, the supertanker has a capacity of about 80,000 liters of water (24,000 US gallons), 16 times the capacity of an average firefighting tanker.

Ten firefighting aircrafts are currently fighting the Carmel wildfire: Four from Cyprus, two from Turkey, two from Russia and one from France. In addition, three helicopters have arrived from Cyprus and two from Britain. Nine more firefighting planes are expected to arrive in Israel on Sunday: Five from Spain, three from the United States and one from Germany.

The Russian aid to Israel included two Illyushin II-76 firefighting aircraft and a B200 plane. Two firefighting helicopters are expected to go into action on Sunday. "We believe we can help you gain control of the fire," said a senior Russian army officer. Twenty-two Russian aerial and fire experts arrived in Israel as well.

Prime Minister Netanyahu on Saturday spoke to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who expressed his condolences to the people of Israel over the Carmel wildfire casualties and said he would give Israel any help required.

40 killed in forest fire in northern Israel

Tragedy in the North: At least 40 dead as bus overturns - At least forty people were killed in the North on Thursday, according to Magen David Adom, when a bus which left the Damon Prison overturned after getting stuck in a huge fire in the Carmel area.

The fire, which broke out near the Druze village of Usfiya in the North on Thursday morning, was spreading and threatened villages in the area after already having burned some 6,000 dunams.

Emergency services were attempting to rescue the passengers, and dozens of ambulances were making their way to a staging area at the entrance of Kibbutz Beit Oren.

Dozens of fire crews were battling the flames with the help of water dropped from airplanes. Nearby Damon Prison was evacuated and prisoners were being transported to other facilities. Emergency services crews ordered the evacuation of Kibbut Beit Oren, some 30 families from Usfiya, University of Haifa and other towns in the area for fear that the blaze could spread further.

The area in question contains heavy brush which burns easily, according to firefighters. This fact coupled with strong winds has prompted the evacuations and the presence of multiple fire crews brought in to help with the blaze from various districts in the country.

According to fire officials, crews have been unable to control the fire at all, and the cause was unknown.

Area residents were instructed to remain indoors, to avoid being exposed to harmful fumes.

Knesset Speaker Rivlin celebrates 1st night of Hanukka at Cave of Patriarchs, reiterates Israel's claim to the city, J'lem

Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin ushered in Hanukka Wednesday by reiterating that he makes no distinction between Hebron and Jerusalem regarding Israel’s claim to either city.

“By building Hebron, Jerusalem itself will be built,” Rivlin declared while participating in a candle-lighting ceremony at the Cave of Patriarchs in Hebron, together with IDF soldiers, local Jewish leaders and yeshiva students. “We are not trespassers, we are not looters, and Hebron is not a coin that can be traded in the marketplace,” he added.

“Hebron was the birthplace of the kingdom of Israel and on Hanukka, independence was returned to Israel,” continued Rivlin. “Hebron was the basis of our right to the Land of Israel, as a moral right that has no superior, and the right of ownership that cannot be questioned; it was our right then and it is our right today.”

Rivlin also took a jab both at international criticism that Israel has no claim to the West Bank, as well as at Israeli leaders – including possibly Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu – who are ready to relinquish control of any part of Israel.

“At the time of the Hanukka story, the leader of Israel, Shimon ben Matitiyahu stood with bravery, determination, and faith, against a foreign commissioner and a disconnected rule, and replied without any hesitation that, “We did not take a foreign land, nor the property of strangers to us, but rather the land of our forefathers which had been conquered in the past by enemies,” Rivlin addressed the audience. “Will we be able to stand by that today as well?” asked the speaker.

Rivlin argued that if Israel rescinded its claims to any part of Israel, it would eventually lead to de-legitimization of the state’s entire existence. “Today it is clearer than ever that if we ignore our 3,800 year-old right, we will find it difficult to defend our renewed independence that is only 62-years-old,” he warned. “If God forbid, we are seduced to think that we did take a foreign land, or the property of strangers in Ariel, in Ma’aleh Adumim, in Gush Etzion and in our capital Jerusalem, it is doubtful that we can continue to maintain our state.”

Earlier in the afternoon, Rivlin delivered a similar message, together with the leaders of the Knesset’s Land of Israel Lobby, MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union) and Coalition Chairman MK Ze’ev Elkin (Likud), as well as Danny Dayan, chairman of the Council of Jewish Communities in Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip.
