QUESTION REPORTER: Sure. Do you believe a heavy-handed Israeli response to yesterday’s bombing and today’s rocket attacks would play into the hands of those in the region who want to sever peace talks? And what path should Israel pursue in regards to peace?

MIN. EHUD BARAK: "I think that’s it not about giving a name or description to this response, though is a need to respond. Every sovereign would have responded when its citizenry is -- became a target for indiscriminate launching of rockets. I do not know any government that would sit idle. So we have to respond.

Now, we do not want to become the -- kind of the -- kind of the victims of our own (inaudible). So we keep the right to pass a judgment about how, when and in what kind of amount of firepower or ammunition to respond. But we will respond. We have to respond. And we are determined to bring back tranquility to the region. And unfortunately, this tough neighborhood, it cannot be done without the readiness and practice of using, from time to time, force."

SEC. ROBERT GATES: "I think the Israelis will have to make their own decision in terms of how to respond. No sovereign state can tolerate having rockets fired at its -- at its -- at its people.

I think one of the -- one of the significant features of what is going on across the region is that as diverse as the countries are, where there is -- where there are demonstrations and unrest, in virtually every case, the theme of those demonstrations has been directed inward at problems in those countries. And I think we all just need to be mindful to keep that we don’t want to do anything that allows extremists or others to divert the narrative of reform that is going on in virtually all of the countries of the region."

Syria protests - Descendants of Ishmaël (Islamic people) wild donkeys and opposite his own brothers

In this Dutch news item a Syrian/Arabic/Islamic protestor is yelling in Arabic: "Traitors, traitors, how can you kill the people? We are all brothers!"

The Bible says these Islamic descendants of Ishmaël will be wild donkeys (men) his hands will be against all men and opposite eachother.

Bob Dylan set for Israel concert

Bob Dylan is to perform in Israel for the third time this June, according to tour news on a fan website.

The American singer-songwriter, born Robert Allen Zimmerman to Jewish parents in Minnesota, is expected to perform at the Ramat Gan stadium which has recently seen shows by Leonard Cohen and Rod Stewart.

Famous for his counter-cultural anthems in the 1960s, his work includes the hits Blowin' in the Wind and The Times They Are a-Changin'.

Mr Dylan previously played concerts in Israel in 1987 and 1993.

He became a born-again Christian in the 1970s and released several albums of gospel-themed music. In 2009 he made a charity Christmas album featuring traditional carols including Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Oh Little Town Of Bethlehem.

Following the clash on the Gaza-bound flotilla last May, a Bob Dylan website was targeted by anti-Israel protesters who attempted to prevent Israelis from accessing the site.

Gene Simmons: Israel boycotters are fools/idiots

Gene Simmons has criticised musicians who boycott Israel. The Kiss bassist said those who refused to perform in Israel for political reasons were “fools” and "idiots".

Mr Simmons, whose mother was an Auschwitz survivor, was born in Haifa in 1949 as Chaim Witz.

He made the comments while in Jerusalem to film scenes for his reality show, the Gene Simmons Family Jewels.

The rocker, known for his outspoken remarks, said returning to Israel for the first time since he left as an eight-year-old was a “homecoming”.

He added: "I'm Israeli. I'm a stranger in America. I'm an outsider.

"I was born here and I'm proud of it."

Two rockets explode in residential Beersheba; 1 injured

Islamic Jihad claims responsibility for Beersheba, Ashdod rocket fire. Two rockets exploded in Beersheba on Wednesday morning, and ten mortar shells fell in the Sha'ar Hanegev and Eshkol Regional Councils.

A siren was heard as a rocket fell in an open field in Beersheba at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday morning. No injuries were reported.

A 122-millimeter Grad rocket landed in a private yard of a residential area in Beersheba earlier Wednesday morning.

No deaths were reported in the Beersheba blast, however, one 56-year-old man was injured moderately in the chest by flying debris when he witnessed the Grad's explosion from his third story window. He was treated by paramedics who arrived on the scene. Three others were treated for shock.

There were no injuries or damage reported in the Eshkol mortar barrage as the shells landed in an open field.

The Al-Quds Brigades, a branch of Islamic Jihad, took responsibility for the recent Grad rocket attacks on Beersheba, AFP reported on Wednesday.

Bus bombing in Jerusalem tragic update: 1 dead, 39 injured

Bomb inside bag explodes next to Egged bus 74 opposite Binyanei Ha'uma in central Jerusalem; 3 seriously injured, 5 moderately. One woman died and 39 were injured after an explosion took place near a bus in central Jerusalem this Wednesday afternoon.

Thirty-nine people were injured in the attack. Three were injured seriously from the explosion itself, four moderately from shrapnel packed into the explosive device and the remainder in moderate to light condition.

The 31 injured were taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem, Hadassah Mount Scopus, Bikur Holim and Shaare Tzedek hospitals. All hospitals in the area were opened to receive casualties. One woman, 59, died from injuries sustained in the blast.

Police said that this was the first terrorist attack in four years that involved an explosion. At the moment, police were looking for one specific person who left the bag that contained the bomb.

There were reports that witnesses were able to identify the man who left the bag and police were searching for him.

Police suspected that an explosive device inside a bag was left at the bus stop, which then exploded. Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch said that the explosive device was between one and two kilograms and was packed with shrapnel.

4 seriously and 20 minor injured in central Jerusalem bus explosion / blast

MDA says none dead, over 20 injured Police estimate that package at exploded next to Egged bus 74 outside Binyanei Ha'uma in central Jerusalem; Netanyahu delaying departure to Moscow.

An explosion took place on or near a bus in central Jerusalem Wednesday afternoon.

Police said that a bomb exploded outside Egged bus number 74 at a station in front of the Jerusalem Conference Center in the center of town.

Reports said that over 30 people were injured in the attack although the exact number was still unknown.

Magen David Adom said that no deaths were reported in the attack.

Police suspected that an explosive device inside a bag was left at the bus stop, which then exploded.

A large number of police and ambulances were on the scene.

Roads surrounding the scene were closed to traffic and authorities were searching the area for additional explosive devices.

The public was advised to stay clear of the area.
