Ahmadinejad in Caïro, pleit voor moslimalliantie tegen Israël
Voor het eerst sinds de islamitische revolutie in 1979 brengt een Iraanse president een officieel bezoek aan Egypte. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad kwam vandaag in Caïro aan en werd met alle egards, waaronder een broederkus en een militaire erewacht, ontvangen door de antisemitische Moslim Broederschap president Mohamed Morsi.
Ahmadinejad hoopt Egypte te kunnen betrekken in een brede moslimalliantie die 'het Palestijnse probleem zal oplossen' door Israël van de kaart te vegen, waardoor 'ik hoop in Jeruzalem te kunnen bidden zodra de stad volledig bevrijd is.'
Ahmadinejad is in het kader van de 12de conferentie van de Organisatie voor Islamitische Samenwerking in Caïro en wil naar eigen zeggen ook Gaza bezoeken. Hij noemde de Israëlische aanval op het Syrische complex vorige week een 'teken van zwakte' en een signaal dat 'de periode van de Zionisten voorbij is'.
Hij zei tevens de hopen op een moslimalliantie met Egypte, zodat beide landen 'het Palestijnse probleem zullen oplossen' en hij 'in een bevrijd Jeruzalem kan bidden'. Deze 'oplossing' betekent de al talloze malen door hoge Iraanse officials aangekondigde vernietiging van de Joodse staat, iets waar ook Morsi de afgelopen jaren zich openlijk voor sterk maakte.

Verdediging noorden Israel sterker; Iron Dome systeem geplaatst
Israël heeft deze week in het noorden van het land zijn verdediging tegen raketten versterkt; dinsdag werd een derde Iron Dome raketafweerbatterij geplaatst. Reden hiervoor is de toegenomen bezorgdheid, dat Hezbollah of Syrische troepen de Joodse Staat zullen aanvallen.
Afgelopen week voerde Israël een luchtaanval uit op een konvooi, dat geavanceerde luchtdoelraketten en mogelijk ook chemische wapens van Syrië naar Hezbollah zou vervoeren. Israël bereidde zich voor op een vergeldingsaanval, omdat Iran en Syrië beide dreigende uitspraken deden.
Maar deze week hebben deze landen hun retoriek afgezwakt en getracht hun gezicht te redden door er op te wijzen dat Israël al zo zwak is dat vergelding niet nodig is.
De preventieve aanval van Israël was een teken van grote 'zwakte' en een bewijs dat er een eind komt aan de tijd van de 'zionisten', volgens de Iraanse president Machmoud Achmadinejad.
De Syrische minister van Defensie Fahd Jassem al-Freij gaf er zijn eigen draai aan, en zei 'het was de Israëlische vijand die een vergelding uitvoerde, … voor onze militaire operaties tegen de gewapende bendes'.
Het Syrische regime houdt vol, dat de rebellenlegers die het bestrijdt bondgenoten zijn van Israël, en daarom zijn de successen van het Syrische leger in werkelijkheid successen tegen de Joodse Staat.

Bulgarije: Hezbollah achter aanslag
Twee verdachten van de bomaanslag op een bus in Bulgarije afgelopen zomer behoorden tot de militaire tak van de Libanese groepering Hezbollah. Dat heeft de Bulgaarse regering verklaard.
Bij de aanslag in de kustplaats Burgas kwamen vijf Israëlische toeristen en de buschauffeur om het leven.
De uitslag van het onderzoek naar de bomaanslag werd bekendgemaakt door minister van Binnenlandse Zaken Tsvetanov. De verdachten zijn een Australiër en een Canadees. Van een derde verdachte is de nationaliteit niet vastgesteld.
Europol
Volgens Europol werd bij de aanslag gebruikgemaakt van geavanceerde explosieven. Israël wees na de aanslag meteen al naar Iran en Hezbollah. Bulgarije wilde zich daar in afwachting van het onderzoek niet over uitlaten.
Nu Hezbollah direct in verband gebracht wordt met een terreuraanslag in Europa, is de kans groot dat de EU Hezbollah voortaan aanmerkt als een terroristische organisatie. De VS doet dat al. Nederland liet in augustus al weten dat Europa daarin Amerika moet volgen.

President Obama to visit Israel in March. Re-set in relations coming, or more White House pressure?
For the first time as the American leader, President Barack Obama will visit Israel in March (update: possibly March 20) as part of a wider tour of key nations in the epicenter.
While the Iranian nuclear threat and the implosion of Syria will be top priority topics for newly re-elected Prime Minister Netanyahu, the newly re-elected Mr. Obama will likely make jump-starting the moribund peace talks between the Israelis and Palestinians his top priority.
The biq question is whether this trip will represent a “re-set” of U.S.-Israeli relations in light of tensions in the past between Obama and Netanyahu, or whether the White House and State Department are planning a high-profile effort to pressure the not-yet-formed Israeli government to divide Jerusalem and make dangerous concessions. Presumably, Netanyahu will finish his coalition talks and announce his new government before Mr. Obama arrives.
Last Friday, Secretary of State John Kerry, who replaced Hillary Clinton, called Netanyahu, Israeli President Shimon Peres, and Palestinian Chairman Mahmoud Abbas among his first official phone calls. His staff indicates Kerry will head to Jerusalem and Ramallah this month to discuss how to move forward with creating a viable Palestinian state. On January 15th, Kerry reportedly met with Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon in Washington to lay the groundwork for the presidential visit.
Mr. Obama’s visit Israel and the Palestinian territories will occur “in the next few weeks,”reports the Times of Israel. “Israeli television broke news of the trip on Tuesday night, and said the White House had confirmed it would take place next month or in April, and that the details were agreed by Obama and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a January 28 phone call.”
“The start of the president’s second term and the formation of a new Israeli government offer the opportunity to reaffirm the deep and enduring bonds between the United States and Israel and to discuss the way forward on a broad range of issues of mutual concern, including Iran and Syria,” White House Spokesman Jay Carney told reporters Tuesday. “Additional details about the trip — including the dates of travel — will be released at a later time.”
The Jerusalem Post reported that sources indicated “late March as the expected arrival time” and noted that Israel’s Channel 10 reported that the visit “will take place as part of a regional tour also expected to take Obama to Ankara, Riyadh, Cairo and Ramallah.”

My Letter To: Danny Ayalon
I was very disturbed by this article: Israel seems to have sold Jerusalem to the Vatican
You must first know this:
1. I am a Messianic Believer
2. I am a Zionist (Biblical)
3. I love Israel, Jerusalem, and the Jewish people
4. I reject Roman Catholicism, and the Pope, Vatican
Israel must NOT give the Catholic Church more of its G_ds given heritage, places, or land. This is a big mistake. And we as Christian Zionists, Pro-Israel lovers and Israel-defenders are AGAINST this agreement.
When I visited Israel in March 2010 I was very amazed (in a negative way) how many places/land of Eretz Israel belong and is bought by the RCC and the Vatican. This is not right! These belong to YOU, the Jewish people! So please, abolish this agreement immediatly with the Vatican, and this stewardship over the Upperroom in Jerusalem.
The Catholic Church has nothing to do with real Christianity [Messianic Believe]; which has its whole roots into the Jewish Faith.

An historic agreement has been drafted between Israel and the Vatican. The Israeli authorities have granted the Pope an official seat in the room where the Last Supper is believed to have taken place, on Mount Zion in Jerusalem, and where David and Solomon, Jewish kings of Judea, are considered by some researchers, to also be buried.
It is the culmination of a long campaign by the Catholic Church to regain religious stewardship over the place where Jesus is supposed to have broken bread and drunk wine with his disciples on the eve of his crucifixion. This is an enormous issue pushed through without any public debate.
According to our sources, the agreement, which is expected to be ratified next June, gives the Pope a “special authority” over the second floor of the building, so that Christian pilgrims will be able to celebrate religious functions like Pope John Paul did in 2000. The agreement constitutes Israel’s capitulation to the Vatican’s efforts to “Christianize” the holy site, like when a Catholic convent was built in Auschwitz.

The Catholic Church has long wanted control over part of the area on Mt. Zion so as to turn it into an international religious center for Catholics. The blueprint of the agreement reads as follows: “The Vatican hands over this use of the Cenacle to the Custody of the Holy Land which will keep the Cenacle open from 6 AM to 8 AM for the celebration of the Holy Mass”.
In the long term, the gesture will increase tensions between Jews and the large assets of the Vatican. The Church has long been working to reduce Jewish rights in Jerusalem and in the Old City. Now, after the Muslim Waqf authority expelled the Christians from the Temple Mount and turned it into a mosque, it’s the turn of the Vatican to lay its hands on the Jewish Jerusalem.
The Custody of the Holy Land, the Franciscan order who, with Vatican approval, is in charge of the holy sites, campaigns with the Arabs against Israel. This week, the Vatican in its official documents began referring to the "State of Palestine".

Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitch and the Western Wall Heritage Foundation
When Passover is coming, even the Western Wall is being prepared ahead of the holiday. On Sunday, Western Wall employees begin clearing out the thousands of notes placed between the wall's ancient stones.
The notes are cleared from the wall twice a year, under the supervision of Western Wall Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitch, and buried in the Mount of Olives.
"Twice a year we remove the old ahead of the new and clean out the notes buried within the Western Wall. These are large amounts, partly due to the large number of people that visit the site during the year and also because of the technological means that enable us to pass on requests from all over the world," the rabbi told Ynet.
"Western Wall employees collect the notes in large bags, and out of respect bury them in the Mount of Olives. They are extracted with wooden sticks instead of metal ones so as not to damage the holy stones," Rabinovitch added.
"We, of course, make sure that no one reads the notes before they are buried. So as not to disturb the worshippers, the process is carried out during relatively slow hours at the Wall, and not in the busy hours, so the process takes three days."

WHY are the prayer notes (incense) from the Western Wall buried in the Mount of Olives? Is this a coincidence? No! Because the Lamb = Yeshua = Moshiach will return to/on the Mount of Olives! (read Zechariah 14:4, Acts 1:10-12)
