The Ishmaelites (arabs, islamics, muslims) are jealous of the promises of God to Isac and therefor they hate Isacs offspring the Jewish people. They want to steal and take over Gods Land, Gods cities and places, and Gods own estate/City (habitation) Jerusalem. Of the Jews they say: Lets cut them off as a nation, so that the world and no one will remember them no more.
