Former Chairman of the BBC, Lord Grade of Yarmouth CBE, has expressed concern about the BBC’s coverage of the recent violence in Israel and the West Bank, in a letter to the organisations’ Director of News and Current Affairs, James Harding. In his complaint, Lord Grade said that the BBC coverage was at times misleading and failed to provide a wider context of what is an “undoubtedly complex issue”.
Lord Grade criticised the BBC’s inability “to fulfil its obligation to viewers” by not showing viewers examples of Palestinian Authority officials praising the attacks and calling for more. The former BBC Chairman underlined that Palestinian incitement, “has played an undeniable part in stoking tension recently and is an important part of the story”.
The complaint was directed at a report by Orla Guerin on Sunday October 11th, about the recent wave of attacks across Israel.
Lord Grade criticised the report’s apparent promotion of “equivalence between Israeli victims of terrorism and Palestinians who have been killed by Israeli security forces in the act of carrying out terror attacks”.
He highlighted that: “An emotional interview is conducted with the father of a dead Palestinian youth who had been killed committing a fatal terror attack. However, the report failed to show the emotional distress caused to Israelis by any of these recent attacks. This is inexcusable”.
Lord Grade continued: “Additionally, it was improper of the correspondent to claim that “there’s no sign of involvement by militant groups”, before immediately showing footage of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) banners at the home of a 19 year-old terrorist who carried out a deadly knife attack at Lions Gate in Jerusalem on 3rd October. PIJ is a well-known Palestinian terror organisation and it has since claimed responsibility for the attack and praised by Hamas, another internationally proscribed terror organisation. This directly misleads viewers”.
Commenting on the footage of an elderly Palestinian gentleman confronting Israelis soldiers in Hebron that were firing gas canisters, Lord Grade criticised the lack of description of the wider context. He said: “The carefully selected footage failed to show the stone-throwing protestors prompting the presence and action of Israeli security forces. While this footage is entirely worthy of broadcast, I strongly feel that viewers lacked visual and oral description of the wider context thereby limiting their awareness and understanding of what is an undoubtedly complex issue”.
The letter went on to state: “Regrettably, this is not the first time the standard of reporting and impartiality has been unsatisfactory in recent weeks. On Saturday 3rd October, I was disappointed to see the BBC News website publish a misleading and counter-factual headline: ‘Palestinian shot dead after Jerusalem attacks kills two’. I note reports that this headline underwent four revisions following public criticism”.
Lord Grade is the former head of the BBC, ITV, and Channel 4.
About 150 Palestinian Arabs on Thursday night arrived at the Joseph’s Tomb compound in Shechem and tried to set it on fire.
IDF soldiers who arrived at the scene surrounded the compound and used protest dispersal means to chase away the Palestinians, who began throwing rocks and firebombs at the soldiers.
The soldiers were able extinguish the flames. Initial reports indicated that damage was caused to the women's prayer area. There were no injuries.
Joseph's Tomb came under attack and in May 2000, during which it was destroyed and burned by Palestinian Arabs. It was eventually restored and, since that time, Jews regularly visit the site and pray there.
A year ago, Palestinians tried to set fire to the compound, but were dispersed by the Palestinian security forces.
Our Comment: This is much too soft from Mr Danon, and we know him not as such! We have some incitement here: Free the Temple Mount immediately from Muslim presence now, just as in 1967. So that Jews and Christians can freely pray and worship the God of Israel, on Mount Zion, God's holy Hill!
Ik wil toch nog even ingaan op de leugengeest die vanuit de islam en het moslim geloof uitgaat. De valse profeet Mohammed heeft destijds bevolen, dat liegen voor een moslim een voorrecht en een opdracht is, om voor Allah en de islam een voordeel te behalen.
Wij zien dit heel sterk bij de Palestijnse autoriteit, en bij Abu Mazen (die ook wel Abbas genoemd wordt). Waarom is deze leugengeest vanuit de PA (Fatah) zo sterk? En waarom beïnvloed deze leugengeest zoveel mensen over de gehele wereld? Dat komt omdat Gods land (Israël) en Gods volk (het joodse volk) ermee gemoeid is! In psalm 83:4,5 lezen we al de motivatie van deze leugengeest beschreven: "Zij (de palestijnen/moslims) beramen listig een heimelijke aanslag tegen Uw volk (de joden) en beraadslagen tegen Uw beschermelingen. Kom, zeggen zij, laten wij hen uitroeien, zodat zij geen volk meer zijn en aan de naam van Israël niet meer gedacht wordt."
Het gaat dus helemaal niet, om het feit dat de Palestijnen/islamitische Arabieren een Palestijnse staat willen hebben, nee het gaat hun erom, het joodse volk uit te roeien, en daarna het gehele land tot een islamitisch Palestina uit te roepen!
Wat je ook heel erg ziet en hoort vanuit de leugengeest van de PA, maar ook vanuit de Arabisch islamitische bevolking in en rondom Israël, is dat zij (leugenachtig) vinden dat het land van Israël van hun is! Ook deze motivatie van de islamitische leugengeest staat in de Bijbel (Gods Woord) in Ezechiël 36:4,5 beschreven: "Omdat de vijand (de Palestijnen/islamitische Arabieren) over u (het Joodse volk), de Israëliërs) gezegd heeft: Haha! Zelfs de eeuwige hoogten zijn ons tot erfelijk bezit geworden." Hier zien wij, wat zij zeggen: Het is ons land, het is ons bezit, de Israëliërs, de Joden, 'bezetten' ons land. Dit is de grootste leugen, die er vanuit de Palestijnse autoriteit, Hamas in de Gazastrook, en vanuit islamitische Arabische wereld uitgaat! Ten eerste lezen we in Ezechiël 36:5 dat God dit gebied tot Zijn eigen land heeft bepaald! "tot heel Edom (islamitische Arabieren rondom Israël), die zichzelf Mijn land tot erfelijk bezit hebben gegeven met de blijdschap van heel hun hart, met leedvermaak, zodat zijn weidegrond tot buit zou zijn."
Zijn (Gods) land heeft hij (met een eeuwige belofte) beloofd aan het Joodse volk, om dat te beheren en te regeren! Dit gebied, zowel de West-Bank (wat origineel en bijbels Judea en Samaria heet) en ook de Gazastrook, is dus het land van God, de God van Israel. Dit gebied is dus niet van Allah noch van de islam, en dus ook niet van de Palestijnen en de Arabieren; Punt Uit! Hier valt niet over te discussiëren, of te onderhandelen! Bovendien hebben de Joden/Israëliërs een 3000-jarige geschiedenis in dit land Israël, en de archeologie bewijst dit de volle 100%.
Aanvulling: Ook geschiedkundig en naar het internationaal- oorlogsrecht, is het niet te bewijzen dat Israël momenteel enig Palestijns gebied bezet! Toen tussen 1948 en 1967 Egypte de Gazastrook, en Jordanië de Westelijke Jordaanoever werkelijk bezette, was er geen haan die kraaide dat zij Arabische bezetters waren! Er was ook geen mens in deze wereld, noch enige 'Palestijn' die destijds een eigen staat eistte, of riep dat Egypte en Jordanië bezetters waren van Palestijns land. De islamitische Egyptenaar Yasser Arafat, die in 1963 de PL0 oprichtte, begon pas na 1967 te schreeuwen en valselijk te propageren, dat Israël Palestijns land bezet! Dit deed hij nadat Israël in de verdedigingsoorlog (de zesdaagse oorlog van 1967) de overwinning had behaald op de Arabische aanvalslegers van Egypte, Jordanië en Syrië.
Joseph Goebbels, minister van propaganda (minister van leugens) van de nazi doodsmachine zei: "Wanneer je een leugen maar groot genoeg maakt, en het maar blijft herhalen, dan zullen de mensen het uiteindelijk gaan geloven." Zo is het ook met de leugen van de term 'bezetting' oftewel 'bezetting' van Palestijns land. Hoeveel mensen in deze wereld, geloven inderdaad de leugen dat Israël land van Palestijnen bezet? De meeste mensen die dit geloven komen uit de islamitische Arabische wereld, maar ook veel mensen in het Westen zijn alreeds geïndoctrineerd en vergiftigd door deze leugen-propaganda van het zogenaamde Palestijnse volk, een volk dat niet eens bestaat of ooit bestaan heeft! De Palestijnen zijn immers gewoon Arabische islamieten afkomstig uit dat gebied.
Met deze kennis en wetenschap nu bij u aanwezig, kijkt en luistert u naar het volgende filmpje van meneer Abbas! In de video noemt hij ook de zogenaamde moord op een Palestijnse jongen (Ahmed Manasra), die gewoon nog leeft en in een Israëlisch ziekenhuis verzorgd wordt, nadat hij een aanslag met een mes op een Israëliër had gepleegd. Dus ook hier weer een leugen en volksmennerij van Abbas! Maar de wereld slikt het als zoete koek!
