2000 South Africans Marched to Support Israel

In an unprecedented show of co-operative solidarity, close on 2000 South Africans marched to the Department of Trade and Industry in South Africa’s capital city Pretoria.

They marched to protest against the decision by the Minister of the Department of Trade and Industry to re-label goods coming from Israel as coming from the [so wrongly called] “Occupied Palestinian Territories”.

The idea for the march was driven by Rev Kenneth Meshoe, leader of the political party, the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP).

The march was enthusiastically supported by the leadership of the IFP, the Shembe Church and Impact for Christ Ministries as well as by representatives of the Congolese, Zimbabwean and Nigerian communities in the country and by the SA Zionist Federation, representing the South African Jewish community.

It was an unprecedented event: a march initiated by notable members of various Black communities, showing their support for and belief in Israel by taking to the streets in a public display of support for Israel.

Disciplined and dedicated, the crowd marched with banners and posters, with songs and chanting, from the Art Museum in Pretoria to the offices of the Department of Trade and Industry.

What united them, as well as their love for Israel, was their total and unquestioning rejection of the Minister’s proposed stance. This is based on a biased and prejudicial view of the Middle East conflict.

7 killed in terror attack on Israeli tourists in Bulgaria

At least seven people were killed and over 20 others were injured Wednesday in a terror attack on a bus carrying Israelis in Burgas, some 400 kilometers east of the Bulgarian capital of Sofia. Bulgarian media reported that the explosion took place while the bus was still in the terminal of Sarafovo Airport.

According to media reports, an 11-year-old child and two pregnant women were among the injured. Fortunately, the pregnant women are slightly injured. The evacuation of the injured has been completed.

Following the attack, the Shin Ben has suspended all flights bound for Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Greece, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey and Azerbaijan. Security sources said that there was no intelligence indicating that Israelis traveling in the area may fall prey to terror attacks.

"An explosion occurred in a passenger bus with Israeli citizens at the Burgas Airport," Burgas Mayor Dimitar Nikoliv confirmed. Bulgarian security forces and emergency medical teams have blocked off the area. The airport has been closed as well.

According to media reports, a suicide bomber boarded one of three buses shuttling Israeli tourists across the terminal at around 5:30 pm and then detonated an explosive vest. Bulgarian media said 44 people were on the vehicle at the time of the explosion.

PM Netanyahu's Remarks Following the Terror Attack in Bulgaria

18/07/2012 - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is holding security consultations following the terror attack in Bulgaria.

The Prime Minister said: “All signs point towards Iran. Over the last few months we have seen Iran’s attempts to attack Israelis in Thailand, India, Georgia, Kenya, Cyprus and other countries. Exactly 18 years to the day after the horrendous attack on the Jewish Community Center in Argentina, deadly Iranian terrorism continues to strike at innocent people. This is a global Iranian terror onslaught and Israel will react firmly to it.”

The Prime Minister sends his condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the wounded.

SEVEN dead in explosion on Israeli bus in Bulgaria

Dozens injured after bomb explodes aboard Israeli tour bus at the Burgas Airport on 18th anniversary of Iran-sponsored bombing of Jewish center in Argentina; Bulgarian FM in touch with Liberman, headed to site.

Seven Israelis were killed and many injured when a bomb exploded on an Israeli tourist bus at the airport of the Bulgarian city of Burgas. The bus was carrying Israeli tourists who landed in Bulgaria at a 4:45 p.m.

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman spoke with his Bulgarian counterpart Nikolay Mladenov in relation to the explosion. Mladenov is heading to the site of the blast and said that he will bring Liberman up to date when he arrives.

Liberman called for an immediate meeting at the Foreign Ministry’s situation room to discuss the issue with the relevant bodies.

The Israeli embassy in Bulgaria is also investigating the explosion.

ZAKA and MDA rescue services in Israel were preparing delegations to fly to Bulgaria.

In January, a suspicious package found on a bus carrying Israeli tourists from Turkey to Bulgaria led Israel to request boosted security for its citizens traveling in the country, according to reports in the Bulgarian press.

Israel has been concerned Hezbollah would try to attack Israelis overseas in in connection with the fourth anniversary of the assassination of Hezbollah military commander Imad Mughniyeh, attributed to the Mossad.

Israel had asked Bulgaria, for example, to increase its security over Israeli tour groups in thecapital city of Sofia. According to Sofia News Agency, a Hezbollah plot was earlier uncovered by local security agencies, which warned Israel.

Explosie toeristenbus met Israëliërs in Bulgarije, 7 doden 20 gewonden

Niet zo interressant voor het NOS-Journaal wanneer er Israelies/Joden sterven en-of vermoord worden!

Bij een explosie met een toeristenbus in de Bulgaarse plaats Burgas zijn drie (nu al zeker 7) Israëlische toeristen omgekomen.

Daarnaast zijn meerdere mensen gewond geraakt. Dat meldt de Bulgaarse politie.

Getuigen melden aan de Israëlische zender Channel 2 TV dat de bus vol zat met Israëlische jongeren en dat het gaat om een zelfmoordaanslag. De politie kon dit nog niet bevestigen.

De explosie deed zich voor net buiten de luchthaven van de plaats aan de Zwarte Zee. De luchthaven van Burgas is na het incident gesloten. Vluchten worden omgeleid naar de luchthaven Varna.

Refugee Rights Day for Jews from Arab Countries

The Ministerial Committee on Symbols and Ceremonies approved yesterday my proposal to designate a “Refugee Rights Day for Jews from Arab Countries.”

Addressing the committee’s chair, Minister Stas Misezhnikov, I spoke of the 856,000 Jewish refugees from Arab countries, whose story is an integral part of the rebirth of the Jewish people in Israel. These people suffered from pogroms, killing and dispossession just because they were Jews, even before the establishment the modern State of Israel and their condition worsened after the War of Independence.

“The remarkable absorption of these refugees in the country, despite the many challenges, is a source of pride and satisfaction for all of us. It is time to recognize the injustice done to these Jews and restore their rights.

Together with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman we are leading an international campaign for recognition of the rights of Jewish refugees from Arab lands. Moreover, the ”Maintenance of the right to the compensation of Jewish refugees from Arab countries and Iran” law of 2010″ requires the Israeli government to raise this issue in any future negotiations with our neighbors.

Op Ynet, de grootste website van Israël, stond zaterdag een gele reclamestrook, die met grote letters de komst van de Messias verkondigde. 'De Messias is in Israël. Dit zal de laatste regering van Israël zijn'. Aanklikken van de reclame leidt direct naar website 871. Daar waarschuwen de religieuze makers van de site voor het einde van de wereld.

'De volgende leider zal de Messias Ben David [Zoon van David] zijn. De situatie in het land wordt ernstiger en de overheid nog incompetenter. Alleen de Messias kan Israël in de oorlog van Gog en Magog redden. In de nabije toekomst zal de wereld vreselijke rampen beleven, zoals verschrikkelijke aardbevingen en mega-tsunami's', stond te lezen op de website. 'Steden in Europa en de Verenigde Staten zullen in de zee verdwijnen. Het wereldwijde financiële systeem zal instorten en God zal de Mammon (Jiddisch jargon voor 'geld') vernietigen.

Het antisemitisme op de wereld zal erger worden, net als aan de vooravond van de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Voor elke centimeter van het land, waarvan de regering afstand doet, dreigt het volk Israël een bestraffing, want dit is een opstand tegen God. Alleen omdat er sprake is van een twee-staten-oplossing moet Israël daarvoor een hoge prijs betalen. Dit land werd voor de eeuwigheid aan het volk Israël beloofd, en wie over het door God geschonken land onderhandelt, zal de verlossing niet beleven'.

Het is onbekend wie er achter de website zit, die regelmatig waarschuwingssignalen op het Israëlische web plaatst. Hoewel de meeste Israëli's zulke websites niet zo serieus nemen, berichten Israëls grootste Internet portals, zoals Ynet, er wel over.
