Hamas Celebrates their Islamic Terror against Israel and the Jewish People
And the World finds it 'normal' and Remains in utter Silence, not condoning this repulsive event in Gaza in any way.
Our Comment: Israel should have send a real rocket while all Hamas terrorist leaders were together and came out of their Jew-killing rocket-symbol. That would be a Rocket! The whole vermin-rodent-nest of Islamic Hamas would been exterminated.
Ps. Rather we see these Islamic thugs repent of their evil deeds and convert to Yeshua/Jesus to do good and reconcile with their fellow-men (also with the Israeli Jews) then that they'll die. But, oh yeah, they love death in the name of 'allah' more then life themselves!

The History of Hanukkah
There are, perhaps, more religious holidays in the Jewish faith than any other religion. From Yom Kippur to Rosh Hashanah to the Fast of Gedalia, the orthodox Jew has a lot of days of remembrance.
However, one of the more recognizable celebrations of Jewish tradition is not religious in nature. Rather, Hanukkah celebrates a nation’s heroes and the miracle they experienced!
As you may or may not know, Hanukkah recognizes the efforts of a group of freedom fighters known as the Maccabees. Around 150 BC, this brave clan battled Antiochus, a foreign monarch who ruled Israel with an iron fist. Though vastly outnumbered, they were able to take back the Holy Temple from their conquerors. In Hebrew, Hanukkah means “dedication,” and those brave warriors truly were that!
There are, of course, religious overtones to the Hanukkah celebration. Also known as the “Festival of Lights,” the holiday commemorates a miracle that took place during the struggle. Once they had secured the temple, the Maccabees discovered that there was only enough oil present to allow them to read the Torah for one day. However, and this is the miracle!, the lamp stay lit for eight days!
As a result of this miracle, the Jewish celebration includes the lighting of the Menorah, an eight-pronged candelabra which bears eight candles. Each night of the Hanukkah celebration another candle is lit. As they light the candle, a prayer is recited that gives honor to God for performing the miracle for the heroic Maccabees.

Chanukah: The Fight for What’s Right!
The week of December 9th begins the 8 day celebration of Chanukah – the Jewish Festival of Lights! Chanukah commemorates the revolt of the Maccabees, (possibly the first ever Israel Defense Forces in history!) against the wicked king Antiochus. It wasn’t enough for Antiochus to simply control the land and people of Israel – he wanted to control their SOULS!
Make no mistake, unlike Haman, Hitler, Torquemada, and Hamas, Antiochus had no specific interest in killing any Jews, he simply wanted the Jews to convert. He wanted them to abandon their religion, their principles and their beliefs. He wanted the Jewish people to quickly assimilate into the Greek culture, accepting their lifestyle and embracing their Gods.
To this end, Antiochus outlawed Jewish observance, including a ban on circumcision, Sabbath observance, and of course, Torah study, all on penalty of death. Unfortunately, there were many Jews who went along with it. They figured, “Why fight city hall? What do we need problems for? Let’s just do what Antiochus says and life will be great. We will become one super-nation and empire.”
The Maccabees knew that this was the wrong attitude and they would have none of it. Matityahu and his son Judah lead the Maccabean brigade and rebelled against Antiochus and his decrees. It was the few against the many. The Maccabees were severely outnumbered but God performed what was nothing short of an open miracle. A small group of militarily untrained Jews were victorious over the Syrian-Greek army with all the advanced training and weaponry.
As a part of their victory the Maccabees re-dedicated the Holy Temple which had been defiled in the interim by the Greeks. As part of this re-dedication procedure it was imperative that the Menorah, the Holy Candelabra, be lit. The problem, however, was that there was no pure untainted oil to be found to light the Menorah. But here again God worked His miraculous ways and a single flask of oil was found. The Maccabees lit the Menorah but the flames that were expected to last only several hours remained alight for eight days! That’s right! A single flask of oil that was expected to last no more than a single day lasted eight.
The festival of Chanukah is not simply an ancient battle of the Jewish people – it is the battle of all mankind across the globe. It is the battle of religious freedom. It is the battle of right over wrong. It is the fight for what’s right. From ancient history to the 1948 war until today – and everything in between – God is there to help those who stand up for what’s right.
When you light your Menorah this Chanukah, remember that the Chanukah candles are not there for their beauty or enjoyment – they’re there for inspiration! May the inspiration of the Maccabees ignite ours souls with sparks of beauty each night of Chanukah and keep that fire burning in our souls throughout the entire year.

Israeli official says Syria now biggest threat
"The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from [being] a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap." (Isaiah 17:1)

Today I participated in a memorial service for the Holocaust victims at platform 17 in Berlin. My standing today at this platform symbolizes our people's victory over those who tried to destroy us. Throughout history the attacks upon us always came in two waves. The overt and familiar one is the wave of physical attacks, expulsions, pogroms and murders. But there was always a preliminary wave of blood libels and terrible calumnies against the Jewish people.
Against these two factors our people was defenseless but currently we have established a state of our own. The government of Israel like all its predecessors is stating Israel's truth to the nations of the world, and the IDF and the security forces protect our people against those who attempt to exterminate us.

Ehud Barak stapt na de verkiezingen uit politiek
Minister van Defensie Barak zal na de verkiezingen van 22 januari 2013 de politiek verlaten. Dit verklaarde hij zojuist, maandag 26 november, in een persverklaring.
Barak heeft weken geworsteld met het idee om uit de politiek te stappen, zei hij. Zijn familie gaf de doorslag; na jaren van inzet voor de staat Israel wil de oud-premier nu meer tijd door gaan brengen met zijn gezin.
Vanochtend deden veel geruchten de ronde in Israelische media, zoals YnetNews en Times of Israel, dat Barak mogelijk zou overstappen naar een andere partij. De voorman van de Onafhankelijkheidspartij, ontstaan in 2011 na afsplitsing van de Arbeid, staat er met zijn partij in de peilingen niet goed voor. Peilingen wijzen uit dat de Onafhankelijkheidspartij bij de komende verkiezingen gemarginaliseerd zal worden.
Premier Netanyahu zei dat hij het besluit van de minister Barak respecteert en bedankte hem voor de samenwerking en zijn grote bijdrage aan Israels veiligheidssituatie. Netasnyahu verwees hiermee naar de lange staat van dienst van Ehud Barak. Hij was de hoogste generaal, de Ramatkal, van 1991-1995, minister van Buitenlandse Zaken in de periode 1995-1996, premier van 1999-2001 en minister van Defensie vanaf 2007.
