A military court in Samaria on Monday (November 28) convicted Amjad Awad for the murder of five members of the Fogel Family during a terrorist attack in Itamar in March.

Amjad Awad was convicted based on the evidence against him, including his own confession.

The prosecution requested that Amjad Awad receive five consecutive life sentences, as well as another sentence for other offenses. Amjad Awad's accomplice, Hakim Awad, was sentenced in September. DNA evidence at the scene of the massacre was used to prove the guilt of the two men.

In April, the prosecution filed indictments against the two men on the charges of pre-meditated murder, weapons theft, breaking and entering, and conspiracy to commit a crime.
